Art Nude is one of the most misunderstood styles we offer at Alt Studio, and also one of the most beautiful. It sits alongside our Boudoir photography as one of the most intimate and artistic experiences you can have in front of the camera.

People hear “art nude” and immediately picture something explicit. That’s not what this is, and it’s not what we do. Every Art Nude shoot at Alt Studio is implied nude. Tasteful, considered and shot with the same care and respect as every other style we offer. Nothing about it is gratuitous.

What does implied nude actually mean?

It means the suggestion of nudity rather than full exposure. Clever use of light, shadow, posing, fabric and angles to create images that are striking and artistic rather than explicit. It’s the same technique used by fine art photographers for over a century. Think soft light falling across skin, a sheet draped just so, a silhouette in shadow. Beautiful, not exposing.

Some clients come to us specifically wanting Art Nude because they’re drawn to the artistry of it, the way light and shadow can create something that feels more like a painting than a photograph.

Just like our regular Boudoir shoots, you get full hair styling, professional makeup with lashes and a full shoot with me. We talk through exactly what you’re comfortable with before we even pick up the camera. Nothing happens that you haven’t agreed to. You’re in complete control throughout.

Implied nude doesn’t mean uncomfortable or exposing. It means thoughtful, flattering and entirely on your terms.
